The new NVIDIA Titan V
Thanks to Talifan for the heads up that NVIDIA have just started selling the new Titan V for $2,999.99 USD.

The claimed processing power is 110 TFLOPs, compared to a 1080 Ti which comes in at ~10.6 TFLOPs.
This is including the tensor cores though, which are designed primarily for AI / deep learning.

The question is, will [email protected] be able to take advantage of these cores?
From what I understand, it would require some code changes for the work units, so they wouldn't be used if you ran out and bought one today.
But if the WUs were rewritten, would the tensor cores provide an advantage, or do the WUs not not heavily use the type of operations that tensor cores are optimised for?
